Vows were exchanged before the improvised altar decorated with branched candelabra holding light- ed white tapers. Two large baskets of giant white chrysanthemums were on each side to complete the decorations. The bride, given in marriage by Dr. J. L. Pritchard, a friend of the bride and groom, wore a waltz length bridal gown, lashJoned of white lace with fitted bodice, bou-I ffant skirt and scalloped neck line. DR. C. A. Shower The home of Mrs. B. 0. Batson was the scene of a miscellaneous shower honoring Mrs. Ernest Wal- ker, nee Edna Markae Wiggins on "Ihursday, October 13. Hostesses were Mesdames B. C. Batson, H. H. Batson, N. O. Bre- land, L. J. Cameron, Netty Camer- on, J. P. Kislanko, Carl Smith, Har- vey Spaul, Jack Strohm, Dewey Taylor, John Tarc2,znin. mad John Ward. The honoree wore Iar the occa- sion a trousseau dress of dark cotton print and a corsage of an orchid [nlia and tiny yellow mums. Mrs. Floyd Wiggins, ,mo- ther of the bride ware a blue dress and a yellow corsage. The groom's mother. Mrs. N. A_ Wal- ker wore a navy blue dre and a white corsage. The corsages were presented by the . The Batson home was lovely with floral decorations of many colorful fall flowers. The serving table was covered with a white lace cloth with an ar- rangement of fall flowers in the center of the table with silver can- delabra holding pink tapers on either side. Mrs. Harvey Spaui and Miss Sandra Taylor served the punch, petit fours, mints and nuts. The gifts were opened by Mrs, Walker and passed to the guests to view. M2ss Cherie Breland was in charge of the guest register. Mrs. Jack Strohm directed the contests.
